In the Najafgarh area, VVF conducts awareness camps to educate
people on use and benefits of ICT skills in areas of livelihood
conducts school visits in Govt. schools to encourage students to adopt training in ICT skills as a vocation encourages woman, especially
homemakers, to be trained in skill-sets based on ICT, 50-60% of trainees
at VVF are woman
sponsors 25-30 students each year from
underprivileged backgrounds in acquiring skill-based training in ICT
skills to improve their income options
Milestones crossed
Over 400 trainees have been made computer literate from Jan ’01 to
Mar’05 75% of the eligible students are successfully
employed with various organizations (some have also made it to big
organisations like Ranbaxy, McDonalds, DTDC, Airport Authority and Jal
Board).
